E.L. White Society

The E.L. White Planned Giving Society is named for Mr. Elvie Linwood White, former mayor of Wilmington, president of the Chamber of Commerce and member of our first Board of Trustees. Mr. White established Wilmington College's first deferred gift — a will bequest that established a scholarship.

This community of alumni, friends, faculty and staff who are following his example of supporting UNCW through long-term gift planning are recognized as part of the E.L. White Society and receive a lapel pin to signify their participation. These donors are also recognized on campus and invited to exclusive events.
